# The Solution

## Bistroo: Full User Control against Low Costs

Bistroo facilitates a move towards sustainable e-commerce services by facilitating an online food ordering infrastructure against lower fees to usher in a change for the food delivery & takeaway industry. The Bistroo technology has been successfully implemented at hundreds of restaurants in the validator territory in the Netherlands. 

The Bistroo Ecosystem operates essentially as a web tool provider for restaurants, on a structure which gives the merchant full control over their online shop, while at the same time reducing overhead and operational costs. Crucially, a combination of merchants, consumers and network builders are involved through web3 incentives to use, improve, develop and scale the ecosystem. 

A key element is the fully stand-alone on-boarding flow, which is a first in the industry. After mandatory steps, like business KYC, are performed a merchant is fully able to set up their menu and distribution settings, set accepted payment terms & methods, determine and configure discounts, set up their store ordering conditions, and integrate any necessary third-party application for a smooth integration of Bistroo in their day-to-day operations. 

Providing a SaaS based e-commerce infrastructure to merchants and consumers has an impact on multiple core business elements:

* Reduced overhead costs for network maintenance tasks such as updating their menu or adding coupons, as the users perform these tasks themselves. These lower costs benefit the users.
* Growth of the network is facilitated in a decentralized manner by the users who are in turn rewarded for their contributions.
* Scaling can be done much more efficiently, as this is done in a decentralized rather than centralized manner.
